Today we went over our work that we previously recorded and noticed that most of our work was dark. In the video's we noticed that we were unable to see the actors hair. It is important for the audience to be able to see the actors hair because she cuts a strand of her hair. We believe that the reasons why we couldn't see much of the scene was because we used a black background while the actor was also dressed in all black. Maybe the darkness of the outfit and background effected how the performance came out on the camera.
In the video we was able to use props such as candles, paper cuttings and a religious book. It was good to use the religious book which we got from the college libary because it goes along with the theme of our horror trailer. We wanted to go for the creepy religious feel, this includes the topic of life after death, God and the Devil. Films that influenced us to use these ideas wer `The Skeleton Key' and 'The Omen'.
